Guy decides to enter medical pharma industry and claims to cure all ailments.
One pill fixes all.
Eventually he admits it's a placebo.
Everyone begins to get sick again except the people who keep believing the placebo is helping them and they become immune to a world wide disease.
In time they find this placebo was more than meets the eye but was filled with a certain power that the creator just decided to call "Placebo".
He hopes the world can be healed and stop those from dying as the state of the world he is in.
An attempt... at the impossible... to create true immortality.
