Static is easily annoyed.

As a base he always tells people to shut up wether in his head or in some gesture he gives in real life because he hates talking to idiots, which in his case is everyone but him. And he is right to believe so. He earns the ability to distort sound waves and to distort peoples communication through the wire to change what they say or force them to submission into what he wishes to hear, in that sense it won't be a lie and it'll be forced to be true or they will be cursed by getting lost in the static to never find their way home.
