Here is one of my first drawing's as a 28 year old.

I started with a line.
A line, then a line through that line.
You can see the drawing with all the x's looks like a kid could draw it. You eventually find out how to use the lines together. _______________/----/_-_---=||tt|ttTT|T|T|ttt

Eventually... out of all those random lines, you'll find something to draw, like looking at the clouds, or a picture someone else see nothing but you do see something. You draw a grid best you can on a piece of paper and eventually you will be able to see your lines are not straight, you can then curve them to match a face for instance, a tear-drop shape. _______________/----/_-_---=||tt|ttTT|T|T|ttt

Out of this you see a claw? A cloud?
You see a snake, a dragon, a building, a scenery...
You see something and this is random computer letters.
Draw random scribbles enough and you'll find something.
SOMEONE being Beehtoven shared that this idea is often called "Cross Hatching"

These drawings are nothing more than xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (If you really look at them.
I happened to do it started with a line then crossing it like a t.

These are different versions of it. SO– Everyone has their own style. It doesn't matter if it starts looking like my bunny girl up there. It matters that you are trying a technique that is unique to you. I like feathering which is when you just draw to draw and think you are a good artist by sort've making the lines thick but light, another thing I like to do; is
draw SLOPPY, really badly, but then start erasing some parts and making up for the idea by making a NEW idea i wasn't even planning to do.
–because then you find multple techniques that make you unique.
The first picture,
The hair is kinda feathering, the fur is kinda cross hatching and the tail is the erase move.
Not in full but a start of the fullness of what you can understand if you can just scribble a little and not worry that the drawing ends up looking like a 2 year old.
–because I cannot draw that same shape a 2 year old would draw. Thus, 2 year olds are amazing drawers. ....................../´¯/)
